What to expect during our Sunday Celebration?

As you enter, there will be a greeter that will welcome you and hand out a free leaflet with information on our church's calendar of activities. We start our service with Praise & Worship. In Psalm 98:4-8, it says,

" 4Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise. 5 Sing unto the LORD with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm. 6 With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the LORD, the King. 7 Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

8Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together."

We clap, we sing, we dance, we make a joyful noise before the Lord! We also lift up our holy hands as a sign of surrender to HIM. So, if you are not use to this, please do not get offended by how we praise and worship God. We also sing songs in adoration to God.

We also receive the Tithes & the Offering. God has instructed us in His word to give to Him according to what's in our heart, cheerfully.

The preacher then comes up to give us the Word that God has impressed on his/her heart to build us up and equip us in our knowledge of who our Creator is and feed us spiritual food to grow in our relationship with Him. This is just a basic guideline however of how we conduct our service. We are flexible and open to God to let HIM be in charge of HIS church and move in however He wants to move.

In ALCMI, the service doesn't end when the sermon does. We are a family church, our normal practice after the main service is to eat lunch and fellowship together. There are also classes and practises that take place in the afternoons. While the evangelism team goes out to the streets and parks of hong kong to share the good news.
